ARSENAL vs BURNLEY (1230 ko) Defeats against Spurs and Southampton – are Arsenal bottling it? They’ve lost some momentum after a fantastic run of form, while a narrow defeat at Spurs and a win over a solid Brighton team has seen Burnley regain some confidence. On paper, this is a regulation home win. In practice, it’s likely to require much fight. Home win.
BOURNEMOUTH vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION Bournemouth have lost their early season mojo and their last three games. They’ve got some tricky Christmas fixtures ahead so will view this as something of a must-win game. You never really know what you’ll get from an inconsistent Brighton side, albeit one that remains capable of pulling off unexpected victories. Some mojo to be restored to the Cherries this afternoon, however. Home win.
CHELSEA vs LEICESTER CITY Chelsea have dropped vital points of late and now sit seven points behind Man City. Few teams can concede such an advantage and expect to restore parity. Mauricio Sarri has already shown himself to be an astute, intelligent field marshal and it would be unwise to completely write them off just yet. Leicester, meanwhile, have demonstrated a steely determination this season and cannot be taken for granted. However: home win.
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN vs SOUTHAMPTON A genuine mid-season six-pointer. The Saints pulled themselves out of the bottom three with an extraordinary victory over Arsenal last week. The new manager feel good syndrome is in full swing and they’ll look to add further yuletide cheer with a point at least in deepest Yorkshire today. Draw.
MANCHESTER CITY vs CRYSTAL PALACE In their own ways, both teams are feeling the weight of footballing gravity. Whatever happens today, City will celebrate Christmas in second position, but Palace will be looking in their rear view mirror and realising that what they see is coming ever closer. Should be routine, will be routine. Home win.
NEWCASTLE UNITED vs FULHAM Poor old Fulham. They returned to the Premier League full of expectation, but now look likely to occupy that dreaded bottom position at Christmas. Rafa Benitez is reported to be a fan of Dad’s Army and will need the combined ingenuity of Mainwaring and Wilson to keep the threat of relegation at bay. He’s done a good job so far. Don’t panic. Home win.
WEST HAM UNITED vs WATFORD Four wins on the bounce really is form to make you be jolly. As with gladness we look to make it five, Chicharito and Andy Carroll should come into their own and again offer a significant threat to the visitors who, with luck, will be having a silent Saturday night. From on high, Angelo Ogbonna can provide balls for Felipe Anderson to attack. On this bleak midwinter’s day, spare a thought for our old friend Diafro Sakho, who is now plying his trade in Turkey. Stuff him, you say? Sorry for all this nonsense. Home win.
CARDIFF CITY vs MANCHESTER UNITED (1730 ko) It’s again Cardiff’s misfortune to be entertaining a team with a new manager. You can just see it, can’t you – Man U back to happy, winning ways and a hattrick for Paul Pogba. Away win.
Happy Christmas!

Saw that result this morning Shows the gap between the top 6 and the rest which seems to be getting bigger
Maybe Spurs fans will even turn out and one third fill Wembley for their next home match if this form keeps up

Pickford was absolutely diabolical today. Full on liability as many have been saying for a while. Piss poor weekend's football.

We need to be way more clinical rather than sentimental when it comes to changing our team
Look at Spurs, great midfield, we need better than what we have

Saints look good they are playing a pressing game so we have to be careful passing the ball in our own half
